I had the same problem. But following the instructions in your file : How to allow plugin run on my Firefox 52 for my Foscam camera or NVR ?    Now it's ok.

But I do not like that sentence at the end of the document :
''''' Note, with Firefox 53, the ability to restore NPAPI plugin support will be removed completely.
We suggest you use Internet Explore to access cameras for more stable experience and performance.'''''''

You could follow the evolution of the versions of firefox. Which is used by several thousand people

Foscam say

Step1: Input about:config in Firefox address bar, hit enter
You’ll see warning message below, please click ‘I accept the risk’.

Step2: Right click and choose New,then Boolean

Please input name plugin.load_flash_only

Then click OK, choose false and click OK again

Step3: Please restart Firefox and try again.

Note, with Firefox 53, the ability to restore NPAPI plugin support will be removed completely.
We suggest you use Internet Explore to access cameras for more stable experience and performance.

i resolved problem by installing firefox 51.1 32bit then turning off auto updates

You're right! I have the 32 bit version installed next to the 64 bit version. And it runs! This version I use anyway in a sandbox and only for the Foscam

Greetings - Jan

No browsers are working for me. Uninstalling the browser is a lousy short term option.  What is Foscam doing about this?  I have a bunch of cameras.

I found a work around to this but it is not ideal.

Instead of using firefox i launched Internet Explorer (Not EDGE) by searching for internet explorer in the search bar.   At least I don't have to downgrade firefox.

IE is still in Windows 10 but you have to search for it to get it.

Nice having an old crusty relic in the closet to help out in a situation like this.

This is crap support from foscam.  Plugin support being removed from modern browsers has been coming for a long time.  They had plenty of time to prevent this.

Hi Jim,

As I know, Foscam research team will develop a new plugin for FireFox 52 & 53, which is not a NPAPI plugin. Thank you.

It's really nonsense that FOSCAM doesn't support their product for use with current and up to date browsers. This has been a very long on going problem with Google Chrome and now that Firefox has updated their browser the only way to get this to work is to use old, out-dated and browsers with greater security vulnerabilities.

Hi All, please refer to the attachment to enable the plugin to run on Firefox browser. Thank you.

I am using Safari and Firefox and Chrome on Macintoshes running 10.9.5

None of them work since I upgraded my broswsers! Can you supply a plugin? When I log in to the camera with a broswer it says "Click here to download plugin". I only get an .exe file. Which, pf course does not run on a Mac!

I have spent a lot of time reading blogs - this is a poor showing for Foscam. I cannot recommend a camera with such slow support. P

Do you have any fix that works for Macintosh?

Foscam better fix this damn Firefox issue quick smart. Saying to use IE is a lame and stupid response.
If we wanted to use IE then we would NOT be using Firefox.
People using an alternate browser to IE do so for a reason.

Foscam, times are moving forward you need to too!

In saying that, Mozilla should still allow the option for the customer to decide. If they want to have the plugin in enabled, then it should be their choice.
