My camera stopped talking to the wifi after several years. When I hook up to the camera direct it returns "wrong subnet". When I look it has the same as always and matches the computer. I've tried fixing it but same result. I've tried resetting to factory default and re-entering the proper values. No success.

Hi Larry,

1. Please tell me what your router's IP address is and what your camera model is ?
2. Please reboot the router after you reset the camera successfully. Thank you.

Try doing a hard reset using the reset button on the camera. Sometimes the software reset is not enough.

Disconnect the camera from the computer or router, do the hard reset and wait 2 minutes for it to reset. Then plug the camera into the router again and enter the settings.

That fixed the wrong subnet error for me.

Thanks.

Additional info: The cause of this error was I changed routers and the router subnet address was different. A hard reset was the only way I could get the camera to change.

192.168.1.1 on the old router. 192.168.0.1 on the new router..
